Welcome!
Today: What am I doing with my time?
Passage: Eph 5, Prov 5
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. (Eph 5:15-17, NIV 84)
I have shared the verses above, recently. But as the Lord put those verses again in my heart, I am prompted to share it again
Be careful; be watchful! Jesus told the disciples who were sleeping, in the garden of Gethsemane: “watch and pray”
If we don’t have our external as well as internal eyes open, what are we going to watch?
Any time Jesus talked about the end times, He advised us to open our eyes and ears well and see/hear what’s going around
What we see is that many believers are sleeping and many others are awake!
We are asked to make the most of every opportunity- the most of every second
President of the US has the same 24 hours in a day, as you and I have
Billy Graham and Reinhard Bonnke both have the same 24 hours in a day
They did the most with their time, in their respective responsibilities
It is all about having a “goal” in life
Most people’s primary goals include money and other materialistic things
They don’t learn even from Japan, the most technologically advanced nation!
“Work is (like) worship” for most people there
We should be committed to what we do; but we should be more committed to what we are called to do
We are called to contain the love of Jesus in us and to overflow that love into others; there is nothing in more demand today than that – even oil or gold!
The love of Jesus can cross all barriers and can satisfy thirsty souls out there.
It can flow in various forms-words of encouragement, prayer, helps…..
God has given us spiritual, physical and material gifts so that we can bless others with those gifts
Make use of every opportunity, wisely
Make sure you do something good every day. At the end of the day, look back and see what you could do
Share a friend’s grief; encourage a brother/sister. Pray for/with a person
Let’s get ready!
God bless you

Prayer: Your response to the devotion you just read
Proverbs for today: Proverbs 5
21 For a man’s ways are in full view of the LORD,
and he examines all his paths. (prov 5:21, NIV 84)
