Know where you “left” Him?

Welcome!

Today: Know where you “left”  Him?

Passage:  Luke 2

44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. (Luke 2:44-46, NIV 84)

When Joseph and Mary left Jesus at the temple, they found it out after one day’s walk. The mystery is that it took them three days to get back to Jesus!

If we “left” Jesus somewhere, we better get back to him before it’s too late!

These days, I hear a lot of people talking about “retirement”, planning for retirement, “wise” planning and so on….

I was wondering, how many of us are serious about planning for the heavenly kingdom. Do we ever think in those terms? How to make the best/maximum investment there and all…..?

Many of us are very wise investors, except when it comes to God’s Kingdom!

People who once talked about investing in America are now talking about investing elsewhere

We are saved, to save; save others from hell to heaven; save ourselves and our families from the wickedness of the world. We are saved to serve as well

When God called Moses, God just asked him one question: “What do you have?”

Moses was preparing all the answers to present a very convincing argument before God, to justify/say that he had nothing with him. Little did he think about that “staff” he was carrying!

God knows what we have and what we don’t; so better be frank than lie

We have 24 hrs at our disposal; we have talents, skill, computers, home, car, job, and what not?

God is asking us those questions which He asked somebody long time back; “(Adam) Where are you? Who will go for us? Do you love me more than these?”

Do we at least know the answers?

I am not asking as if I have made it all; I ask to myself too

We sing, “we shall meet on that …shore”, and “when we all get together” and all

But it doesn’t look like we mean what we sing

(That is the case with most of the songs we sing and the prayers we pray!)

God bless you day.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me answer your questions faithfully and sincerely so that I can answer others as well, about you. Amen.
