Passage: Isaiah 40 (Amp)
Today: Source-based strength!
29 He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. 30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; 31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. (Isaiah 40, Amp) -emphasis added
The secret of the power of a machine/engine is based on its make and the fuel/maintenance
Born of God, we should have the kind/quality of life that Jesus had
Also, what we eat, has to do a lot with our energy, in the physical/spiritual
Many a time we get weak by the end of the week because we don’t feed our spiritual person well, and also because we feed ourselves with lot of other stuff
An airplane uses different kind of a fuel than a car. Both move in two different realms: one moves on the ground and the other, in the air
We cannot run the airplane on the car fuel!
The kind of fuel from God is way powerful than jet fuel. One filling can last upto 40 days!
7 Soon the Lord’s angel woke him again and said, “Get up and eat, or else you’ll get too tired to travel.” 8 So Elijah sat up and ate and drank. The food and water made him strong enough to walk forty more days. (1 Kings 19, CEV)-emphasis added
If we just read one verse from God’s word in the morning, it can keep us for a day; if it is a chapter, it will keep us very strong!
Elijah was so weakened by words of Jezebel, but he was strengthened by the word from God. Who we listen to, most of the day, makes a big difference
Daniel was so weak; but when he heard the voice of God, he got strengthened!
18 Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength. 19 “Do not be afraid, O man highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.” (Daniel 10, NIV 84)-emphasis added
If we listen to all kinds of music, our energy can drain; there is also good music
When Eve listened to satan, she sinned and lost the blessings of God
Who/what do you listen to? Many lives/relationships have been spoiled because someoen listened to the wrong people!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am sorry for not listening to you enough, and for listening to other voices/people. Sometimes, I listened to my own inner voices and got in trouble. Help me to listen to you and obey your voice. Amen
