When you get the goal, you get it all!

Welcome!

Passage:   2 Timothy 4 (AMP)

When you get the goal, you get it all!

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12, NIV) -emphasis added

When a person gets a goal inside and gets all focused on that goal, he/she achieves it; all their energy and time will be spent on that

The problem with many churches today is that they are filled with a bunch of people who don’t know where they are going; many are just part of the crowd!

Apostle Paul was focused on Jesus; so, his life was a big success. Towards the end of his earthly life, he was more than satisfied. He had double reward: the satisfaction of finishing his job, and the reward from God

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day —and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. (2 Tim 4, NIV)-emphasis added

In any job, the satisfaction of doing it right is the #1 reward. The salary and response from the management should be the second

There are people who do it just for money and without any commitment. As per God’s word, that is not the right way to do it

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism. (Col 3, NIV)

Commitment is personal; make it our habit regardless of how others along with us are. In every job and in every church, you will see a few people who are not committed. They will go around and talk to others trying to make others like them. They might win some, but loose a lot! God is watching. In the end, when God distributes His awards, we will see who gets glad and who doesn’t!

When you look at Olympic games,  many countries do bad in Olympics,  because of the “games and politics” in those countries whereby the right ones don’t come up; not because they don’t have talented people. Unfortunately, similar things happen in church-circles as well

We have many self-made leaders here who are probably good organizers, but badly (dis)-organized in themselves. Skills don’t matter to God much; surrender does!

In God’s kingdom, “games and politics” don’t work; only genuine ones will come up! Praise and thank God for that!

Stay focused and be blessed!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being the role-model. Thank you for all those men of faith who went ahead of us. I know that those who are sincere and genuine alone will stand on the medal stand in your kingdom and thank you for that. Amen

When you have a goal, you get it all; when you have no goal, you loose it all!
