The Jesus’ party-is on!

Welcome!

Today: The Jesus’ party-is on!

Passage: Esther 1(NIV)

7 Wine was served in goblets of gold, each one different from the other, and the royal wine was abundant, in keeping with the king’s liberality. 8 By the king’s command each guest was allowed to drink with no restrictions, for the king instructed all the wine stewards to serve each man what he wished.9 Queen Vashti also gave a banquet for the women in the royalpalace ofKing Xerxes. (Esther 1, NIV)

If Jesus hosted a party, how would it be? What would He serve?

I am sure it will be an “all you can eat” buffet; don’t you think so?

And, it will have the best of the best-the food, wine and every thing

In the verses above, we can see the king’s party vs. the queen’s party

King had the party for a reason; it was well planned and conducted

The queen’s party was just a copy. “If the king has one, I’ll have one too”

It was O.K for the queen to have a party of her own; the problem is insubordination to the king-not going to him when he called

She did not become disobedient all of a sudden. From the time she became a queen, that attitude was probably growing in her- “pride”!

The reason why God cannot bless certain people, is probably this; the more the blessing, the more the pride!

King Saul was very good in the beginning, but pride came in pretty fast

When God uses certain people in ministry, same thing happens

Today, we can see two types of churches; the original and the copy

The original is one with real vision and with well defined goals; it is more than just a church service. There, you will see the work of the Holy Spirit, unhindered

In the other one, man will be controlling everything- even the Spirit of God!

Where there is no vision, people perish; many perish inside the church, than outside, because they are unaware of such a thing inside!

When Jesus has His party, He will serve the best, and without restrictions. There is no young or old, no “great” or “small”; it is upto the individual how much to eat!

I am not putting this king in place of God; but every book in the Bible is there for a reason; it has a message for all times

34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God[i] gives the Spirit without limit. (John 3, NIV)-emphasis added (Also, ref. John 7:37)

We can see at least three attributes of the king who serves without limit:

He is rich enough to afford that; he is generous; and, the satisfaction of the people is the most important thing, than anything else

God is rich, generous and is interested in the well-being of His people. He loves to feed us and enjoys us eating, like how a mother enjoys her children eating

The party is on, 24/7. It is all about we going into His presence and having it-the party of the Word and the Holy Spirit

Have a blessed one!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the river-of the Holy Spirit and the abundant word, from which we can have as much as we want, any time. Even as the party is open 24/7, I don’t take the time to have it, and I apologize. Help me Lord; Amen

When was the last time you had a party with the King? The doors are open!
