When money talks and we don’t!

Welcome!

Today: When money talks and we don’t!

Passage: 1 Tim 6

8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Tim 6, NIV 84)

“Money talks”; that’s what we hear all the time

That is true in the financial world. But in the kingdom of God, money doesn’t talk much. God talks; the people of God talk; the power of God talks!

Every day, we hear of so many crimes, most of them related to money and morality; some of them even connected  to people in ministry!Solomon was blessed by the Lord, but he couldn’t handle his blessings right, like most people. His “blessings” controlled him, instead of he having control over them!

God tells us the facts through His word. He tells us the pros and cons of things and they are true. The love of money can make life miserable

When we truly love somebody, we may not even keep an account of how much we spend that way. When children ask for things, we sometimes get it even when we are tight

All we have is from God. The basic rule for giving back to God is L% of our income (L for Love)

It all depends on our love for God. We better decide how we give

Some people keep a separate account where they transfer a certain percentage of all their income to that account, so that they will have enough to give and to live

My dad was following that rule. Every income we had, he immediately transferred 10% to an account into another account, which was only used for giving to God’s work. It was not easy, with expenses for my college and all. But it was all taken care of!

Once we are able to manage our time and money, we are the winners!

That is some basic management we all need. We can cut a little here, a little there and it adds up to a BIG something. Saving 1 dollar a day is 365 dollars a year (!), if I am not wrong

If you can use 5 minutes a day to read the Bible, that is 1.25 days (30 hrs) in a year!

That is like reading Bible 3 hrs a day, for 10 days in a row

May God help and bless you to do exceedingly abundant, for Him!

Have a nice day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I need skills in the area of managing my time and money. I waste a lot of my time and some of my money this way and that way. I am going to change that, with your help, I promise. So help me God. Amen
