Passage: Psalm 33
10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance (Psalm 33, NIV)-emphasis added
God, who is the King of His kingdom, is watching the world and its kingdoms
He looks from heaven and laughs at some of the things people do down here
And His eyes are very much on those who fear Him, to save their lives
Living in a world that embraces sin and satan, children of God will find it difficult to make their stand and to make their way forward. It becomes even more difficult when some churches don’t take a proper stand on various issues
Church is the body of Christ. Church is to stand for and support what Christ stands for and supports. If “I” want to create a community of people who follow what I believe, then it is not necessarily Church
The same God who formed marriage formed the Church. So when Church or leaders of nations try to define “church” or “marriage” in their own terms, they better make sure that they don’t do it differently from the original
No one has the right to re-define anything that God or His word has defined. It will be an encroachment on God
If you watch carefully, it was the “church” who started deviating from God’s word first. Many churches teach “their own” gospel.
When the church derails, everything else derail
As the coming of Christ is approaches, the true church must be prepared for more “shocks”, regardless of who is at the top of government. Things written in God’s word must be fulfilled!
The “false church” will always choose the path of less friction, because that is their basic criteria: “pleasing people than pleasing God”
While we boast about our church, worship, prayer or even tradition, what is important is what God says about it. If my “great” church/worship/prayer does not get God’s approval, then what’s the point?
It is time to wake up; God is near
