Led by the spirit!

Welcome!

Today: Led by the spirit!

Passage: Rom 8

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. (Rom 8, NIV)

Being led by the spirit of God is a unique experience

If we can get directions from God on a daily basis, that is great

But God promises even more than that; He promises a moment by moment experience. He promises to guide us each and every moment of our life

We know how people who drink “the spirit”/alcohol are controlled by it

When we are filled by the spirit of God , He controls each and every moment (Eph 5:18)

On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon the 120, they underwent a drastic change, for sure. Holy Spirit was over them, dominating them

From that moment, Holy Spirit prepared their agendas/programs and plans; telling them  what to do, where to go and when to go

It is very important to get God’s permission before we make moves

Sometimes, Holy Spirit warned the Apostles not to go to certain places

There is a big difference in being guided by the Holy Spirit vs. going on our own and seeking God’s help when we need it

When we are fully guided by the Holy Spirit, we can hardly make mistakes

But when we are self-guided and seek God’s help only when we are “lost” on the way, we may simply travel “extra miles” and pay for it

How (much) do we depend on God?

In these days, we see more and more “Christians” afraid to stand up for the truth

God has already foreseen that. It is clearly mentioned in His word

When we are fully led by the Spirit of God, we don’t worry about what man thinks; we will only be concerned about what God thinks

When a person is truly married, they are not ashamed of that relationship

If we are ashamed of God, we are not truly united with God

The other day, I was attending a non-christian wedding. I was thinking of the values that people of different religions and faiths hold in life-and in marriage

But unfortunately, such values are coming down and are about to hit the rock bottom among christians!

It is time for a self-analysis. How much do I care about the value-system of God?

How much does my family/church care about it?

Are we ready to take on a journey, led by (the spirit) of God?

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for loving me. Thank you for coming to me, even before I came to you. The greatest thing is not that I said “yes” to you, but that you were humble enough to come to me. Thank you God. In Jesus’ name; Amen

“If we are fully led by God, we can’t be led by anybody else”
