Born again, not bondage again!

Welcome!

Today: Born again, not bondage again!

Passage: Ps 111

9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever— holy and awesome is his name.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.  (Ps 111, NIV 84) –emphasis added

God is more concerned about us than we ever think. He is in the business of planning and preparing the best for us, and providing for our daily needs

We will be better thinking of God and His things more, than getting frustrated and worried about ourselves. We can hand our frustrations over to God. We can ask for His guidance in every thing we do, small and big alike!

Once we have the consciousness and fear of God in us, we are not looking for an opportunity to sin! Instead, we will be looking for an opportunity to do something good for God and for others

When Israelites were in Egypt, they realized they were in bondage. All they did was to cry out to God. From that point, God took care of it. He went and talked to a man called Moses, shook him out of his comfort zone and plucked Israel out of Egypt with His mighty hand. Pharaoh tried to resist, but how long could he?

Many who are redeemed from satan and are born again, have yielded themselves  into bondage again. Some are in the bondage of sin. Some are in the bondage of certain people, while some others are in the bondage of certain “principles”/positions. Christ wants everyone to be free! He paid with His life!

1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Gal 5, NIV 84)

Until and unless we recognize we are in bondage, we cannot come out of it!

That is the diagnosis part. The next part is treatment, which God will do if we approach Him. He will get us out and free

Satan likes to have slaves. He enjoys it. God doesn’t!

If we are in a leadership position in any area, be careful not to create slaves. It will kick back some day! Slaves will only do things upon pressure. People who fear the loss of their “authority” tend to create slaves, out of that fear

1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil[a] spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. (Mat 10, NIV 84)

Jesus delegated authority to His disciples. Instead of He doing it all by himself, He wanted His disciples to practice it. They were not too bad- did a good job!

Lack of wisdom is one of the root causes of many problems in individuals, families and churches. When we don’t have discernment of people and situations, we will fall into all sorts of problems

Wisdom makes us think of the after-effects/consequences of our actions. Foolishness will tell us: “don’t worry about the consequences-just do it!”

May we enjoy deliverance and wisdom from God. For the spirit of God is not one of fear, but of faith, wisdom and love. It is one of power and a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7)

God bless your way!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for all that you gave me, including deliverance, freedom and wisdom. Thank you for the divine authority and delegation. Help me to exercise your gifts and skills; make me an instrument in your hands. Amen
