An ambassador in chains!

Welcome!

Today: An ambassador in chains!

Passage: Eph 6

19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. (Eph 6, NIV)-emphasis added

The United States is celebrating Veteran’s day today, remembering those who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation

Just like many who sacrificed their lives for the nations, there are also many who sacrificed for the kongdom of God. God will not forget them!

Paul calls himself an ambassador in chains. An ambassador is no small title. Paul is proud to be in that state

However, the world does not appreciate that. While people like Paul were only doing good things, turning culprits and criminals into children of God and an asset to the commun ity, the world did not recognize it. They would release “Barabbas” and crucify Jesus!

Paul never took much “space” in any of these prison letters to let the world know what he was going through.
Instead, Paul only focussed on the spiritual needs of the church, growth of the believers and things like that

Today we see the opposite- people boasting too much about the too little they suffer for God, and even translating  their “sufferings” into some form of gain!

Even when we have to go through all types of troubles, we better know who we are in Christ– “an Ambassador”!

God takes care of His people. If we suffer in any area, speak to God. It may be physical illness, financial troubles, family/children. Let God deal with it

When we take care of God’s business, God is more than happy to help us

To do God’s work is not about being a Pastor or a preacher. God has placed many  in the Govt., in

pvt/public companies/insitutions

Be proud to serve God; be faithful to your duty and the land!

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice. Help me to be faithful to you, my family, my duty and the land. Help me to do that which is good and to be an asset, not a liabilty, in this world and for your kingdom. Amen
