Dealing with fear and hatred

Welcome!

Today: Dealing with fear and hatred

Passage: Ephesians 6

4I praise your promises! I trust you and am not afraid. No one can harm me.

11I trust you and am not afraid. No one can harm me.  (Ps 56, CEV)- emphasis added

The verses above are from a psalm David wrote while he was captured by the Philistines

Paul and Silas were once imprisoned. They decided to praise and worship God. The gates of the prison opened (Acts 16; Acts 12)

While Peter was in prison, the Church earnestly prayed and Peter was delivered.

What we do when we are in trouble, determines the final outcome/result!

First of all, we should know what God can do for us and what man can’t do against us. It is impossible to have everyone to be our friend. If God likes us, satan won’t!

One of satan’s top tricks is to create enmity between individuals

God does not appreciate that. God wants us to deal with the root cause, rather than the symptoms. Satan is the root cause of the enmity

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Eph 6, NIV)-emphasis added

The world system is opposed to God’s system. While most of us work with both these systems, life won’t be that easy

4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Cor 10, NIV)-emphasis added

If we can write the two “emphasized” portions from the above verses in big letters and post it somewhere we can see, it will help us a lot!

Many family fights as well as work place-fights and Church-fights could have been avoided, had people got this truth!

Leave all fights for God, while we concentrate on our tasks

God bless you

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to understand that my only one enemy is the devil and nobody else. Forgive me for treating certain people as my enemies. Help me to have the same attitude as in you, and not to fear or hate anybody. Amen
