Being “true” at any cost

Welcome!

Today: Being “true” at any cost

Passage: Eph 4

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. (Eph 4, NIV)-emphasis added

When Christ takes over the control of our lives, it is difficult to lie

The mouth speaks what the heart is full of. If the truth is in us, only truth will come out of us. We lie when the “liar” is in us

When we speak/share the truth, it works. It shall accomplish something

When we are sick, we speak the truth that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus. The healing of the inner man can bring healing to the outer man as well

When “guilt” haunts us, we speak the truth that God forgives all our sins and He heals all our diseases (Ps 103)

When we think we cannot make it, we speak the truth that “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me” (Phil 4)

Every day, I trust in the Lord to strengthen me so that I can write and send these messages. Sometimes people appreciate and even admire you, but it is important that all glory goes to God. There are many who “fell” because they took the glory for themselves

Satan is a liar. There is so much “lie” in the Church today. “Lie” may “save” you for a little time, but it comes back and hurts you later

Speaking truth is not easy. It has a cost.

If we speak “lies” to our children in order to calm them, be careful. Once they know it is a lie, they loose the confidence in us.

In the court, most people do not admit their guilt. Even if they did it, their attorney will advise them not to plead guilty

It started in the garden of Eden. Adam never wanted to admit his fault

Instead he blamed it on Eve, and Eve on the serpent

If they had admitted their guilt, they would have got the lost glory back!

Ananias and Saphira paid with their life, for a lie!

While truth has its own cost, lie has its cost too!

We are called into the truth so that we stay in the truth and speak the truth

Be truthful as much as you can. If we have been lying, make a conscious effort to come out of it. That will begin a new chapter of blessing!

For a true child of God, it should hurt to lie. It also blocks our blessings

Stay true! God bless your weekend

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for speaking to me. I know that you always spoke the truth and that the truth sets me free, while lie “binds” me. Help me to be free from the guilt of lying, by speaking the truth. Amen
