If you are not “in”, you are “out”

Welcome!

Today: If you are not “in”, you are “out”

Passage: Eph 4

20 You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21 Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph 4, NIV)-emphasis added

Transformation through Christ is more than just a change. It is a life & death process. The truly transformed person has only one person to compare with: Jesus Christ!

Whenever a Church or individual teaches in accordance with what is acceptable to the majority, Christ is out of the picture

Christ is the standard. We are not to bend the scripture according to the conditions and convenience, but to change/transform ourselves to conform to the unchanging standard of the scripture. (Rom 12:1,2)

When the scripture says that a certain thing is wrong, it is wrong. The creator decides what is right and what is wrong.

Jesus spoke the same gospel to the woman at the well (John 4) who was living in sin, as well as to Nicodemus (John 3), who was a teacher of the Jews. Jesus did not “buy” any of the woman’s boasting on her tradition, nor did Jesus give any credit to the experience of Nicodemus. Jesus told him, “you must be born again”. To the woman, Jesus told that her life and worship were wrong.

In the eyes of the people, that woman was never worthy to go anywhere near heaven, whereas Nicodemus was “well qualified” for heaven. For Jesus, both of them were not qualified for heaven, as is. They both needed transformation

Most of us have “qualified” ourselves for heaven. Only Jesus can tell our position. Some of us may be too close to the door and some may be too far. But until and unless we get in, it doesn’t make a difference whether you are too close or too far.

If you are not “in”, you are “out”!

Our lives are very much self-centered. What is important to Jesus is not what is important to us. Most of the time, we are worried about what we shall eat/drink or put-on, rather than our soul or that of others around us

Many churches are getting “cold” and loosing people.

Churches are getting weaker and smaller in countries like the US

It is time to get serious. The clock is ticking. The coming of Jesus Christ can happen any time.

God bless your day

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I need a total transformation. There are areas in my life which need to be dealt with, if I should make it to heaven. Help me to deal with those things Oh Lord, and get rid of what I should get rid of. Amen
