Real transformation

Welcome!

Today: Real transformation

Passage: Eph 4

20 You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21 Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph 4, NIV)-emphasis added

When it comes to transformation, one of the best illustrations I like is about the engine replacement of old vehicles.. In order to get better power and durability, Auto mechanic replaces the petrol engine of the vehicle with diesel engine; just the chassis/body remains the same, but the entire engine is changed. Thereafter, it is no longer petrol, but diesel fuel goes into the engine. The new engine is much more powerful and even the noise is different!

The change happens within. Whatever we do to make ourselves look different does no good, unless the real transformation has happened on the inside

With the new creation in Christ, Jesus gets the driver seat also

A life driven/controlled by Christ is the true Christian life

That is what Paul meant, when he said:

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Gal 2:20, NIV)

It is not easy-handing over the complete control of our lives to Christ. Most of us still have the steering wheel in our hands. Sometimes we listen to God; at other times, “we know the better way!”

If a Church of ten people can stand together as one, they will do much more than a church of hundred people which is divided within

So, if you think your church is too small, cheer up!

Jesus used the smallest group for the most significant miracles he did

He only took the select few with him when he was to resurrect certain people and when He went on the mount of transfiguration

Are you tired because you don’t get enough opportunity within the church?

There is plenty of opportunity outside, and God is in need of people!

Let Jesus take charge of the throne of our hearts!

If we are willing to spend some more time praying, and listening to God, we will see the difference!

God bless you

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I want you to really take charge of my life. I want to give you the keys of my life and trust you with it so that I will never have to regret about my life. Thank you. Amen.
