Welcome!
Today: The Lifestyle that pleases God
Passage: Eph 5
4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. (Eph 5, NIV) – emphasis added
So much of discussions and debates are going on in the world, as to “what is sin” and “what is not sin”
Everybody wants to get into heaven somehow. Some torture themselves, some torture others-all to get to heaven
Some choose the way that looks “right” for them; some others choose the TRUE way. What looks right may not always be the true way
Jesus is the absolute truth. Many could not accept Him. JESUS does not make sense to many, who are after the things of this world
It was reported that Synagogues and churches near Wall Street have increased attendance when the stocks fell down. People still need God!
In the verses above, Paul is warning about the words of our mouth and our life style that should please God
Paul is not saying that humor is a sin; but sometimes jokes can go too far, to the point of hurting others or hurting God. When we praise God with the same mouth, it may come back “to the sender”!
Psalmist says: Let the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be pleasing to you, Lord!
What is in the heart comes through the mouth as well as through our actions
Many people ask: “Only you people will go to heaven?”
If they are talking about the place where Jesus is, it is Jesus who decides who goes up there, and it is clearly written in the Bible, who goes to the heaven where Jesus is!
God bless your day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to keep my life in a way that please you, more than somehow getting into heaven. Make my life a blessing to many. Amen
“You cannot live like the devil and go to heaven”
