When good things happen to bad people!

Welcome!

Today: When good things happen to bad people!

Passage: 2 Cor 10, NIV

3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (2 Cor 10, NIV)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Eph 6, NIV)

Yesterday, as I heard these verses being preached at the church, I felt the need to share it. There were instances in our life when we reached a “near-collision” situation dealing with people, but then, somehow we were able to control our emotions,  and a great “accident” was avoided!

We have difficulty relating to people who have a philosophy/ value system entirely opposite to ours

When we see bad things happening to good people and good things happen to bad people, we may not be able to take it!

But sometimes, we become selfish and disregard the needs/problems of others

As a Christian, we owe more to others. If Jesus had become selfish, we would have lost salvation. So, when we become selfish, some others loose salvation/blessings of God

Jesus “suffered” many people in life, including Judas Iscariot and Peter, who disowned Jesus; that was not easy!

Joseph also went through many difficult situations, as he was mistreated by his own brothers and by strangers like Potiphar. Later, he got a chance to repay them, but he didn’t. Instead, he helped them survive, in times of their difficulty

When Nehemiah and his team were working on the reconstruction of the broken walls of Jerusalem, two people- Sanballat and Tobiah started opposing him and his team; but instead of focusing on them, Nehemiah went ahead, focusing on his task and successfully completed the wall

There are spiritual battles we need to fight; but there are certain battles we should not get into. We better stay away from “personality wars” and battling in the flesh, which will eventually destroy us

These days, we need to get into spiritual warfare, praying as often as we can

As we read the word and pray, we can see many miracles happening!

We will be dealing with our true enemy, satan and focusing on our tasks

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being an example and a role-model for me, forgiving others and winning the battle with the devil through your death and resurrection. Help us to overcome all the battles and issues in life. Amen

As we continue minding the task/business God has called us to, God will stay by us and satan will stay away from us
