Welcome!
Today: Jesus is all you need!
Passage: Luke 21
34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21, NIV 84)
If we look at the videos and news of recent earth quicks and natural disasters, at least a minimum response from us should be about how we conduct our lives
Many of those people who survived, lost all they had; their certificates, home, car, bank deposit, job, …..everything ….
But what they have inside their heart, is all they have now
If they have courage, love, faith, that will definitely help
Have we tried to look at ourselves without all those “attachments” we have
Usually we all take pride in what we have
If God is your greatest asset, if He is what you look at the most, you are wise
Look at the verse above; let it not happen to us. At least now, we may change our thinking and our attitudes
That earthquake could have been anywhere-even in the City you live!
It is time to get spiritually rich, not materially
We might have gained many things in the material realm; but spiritually, we gained nothing much (!?) in the last decade
Now, we are in the third month of this new decade
See below, a group of thankless people, who were only craving for what they didn’t have:
4 Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; 6 but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!” (Num 11:4-6, NKJV)
Does it look like us? We might say, “NO”! That is not me
Think again; there is much of you and me, in that verse above
Be thankful for what you have; took some time this morning to thank God?
Pray; prepare; participate in any good you can do for another person
God bless you

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for what you have given me- yourself. I know that all that I have gained other than you is of no use, in a time of crisis, except our faith in you. Help me to think and act the way you want. Amen
