Welcome!
Today: Are we there yet?
Passage: Daniel 2
44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. (Daniel 2: 44-45, NIV 84)-emphasis added
When we go to places with kids, and if it is a very interesting place for them, they will keep asking, “are/aren’t we there yet?”
Many of us here in the US are probably not asking that question, but disciples of our Lord Jesus in many parts of the world are already asking God, “Lord, aren’t we there yet?”
They are counting minutes like days and days like weeks, because of the persecutions they are going through
When you look at the world through the “glass” of the scripture, you will see, it’s almost time ; the clock is ticking fast!
This is not the time we should get busy with gathering all the material things and other stuff; no time to add luggage. Less luggage, more comfort!
We need to keep running, with all the energy we have
1 “Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.
Declare to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sins. (Is 58:1, NIV 84)
I remember the words of a seminary Professor who died of a terminal illness not too long ago; he knew he didn’t have much time left. So he wrote:
“So much to do; so little time”
While most of us still choose to “sleep” rather than awake, the rest of the world feels that it is not the time to sleep. Almost every day, I hear people who don’t even believe in God say, “it looks like something is about to happen”
13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” 15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. (Eph 5:13-17, NIV 84) –emphasis added (Ref: Is 60:1)
The fact is that when it is really time, satan will make many feel and say:
“It’s not yet time; I have been hearing this from the day I was born!”
But one day, (may be one of these days), it’s definitely going to happen-
Jesus will come for his beloved
45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. (Daniel 2:45, NIV84)
Say to somebody, “we are almost there!”
God bless you!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the time you have given me. Help me to spend every minute and speak every word carefully, because it is almost time. Amen
