Passage: Psalm 32 (NIV 84) Luke 23: 26-31
Today: Get involved-start with prayer!
34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.” 35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9, NIV 84)
While Jesus was going through the towns and villages doing what He was supposed to do, there were all kinds of responses; a great multitude were blessed by Him, while there was a group of people on the other side, accusing Him for almost everything He was doing; Jesus wasted no time wondering about His critics
If we want to achieve/accomplish something, we will have to disregard some of the critics and go ahead with our task; however, if we have no critics, then we are not doing anything creative!
When we are focused on pleasing everybody around, we are not pleasing God!
Jesus saw the great need and the pathetic situation of the people; the pharisees, saducees and other critics of Him were doing nothing, and Jesus got into action
Unlike what we see around us today, Jesus was not worried about Himself; He was concerned about the people!
The situation of the church today, is pathetic; when leadership is all focused on their position, power and stuff like that, people are starving spiritually
There must be some who will dedicate themselves to provide the hungry, thirsty souls with “soul food”. While the media tries to satisfy the souls with the “junk food”, there is a great need for good food. Many children spent lot of time watching & playing wild video games which ultimately make “monsters” out of them, there is a great demand for spiritual and talented people who will come up with good products that our children can use, so that they can be led in the right direction. Will you take up this challenge and do whatever you can do from your end?
There is always something each parent can do, in their home; get rid of all the bad games and stuff; watch what they are watching, as much as possible. This is not the time to play (church) politics; let those who are “appointed” for it go ahead with it!
28 Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ (Luke 23, NIV 84)-emphasis added
19 Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I pray for parents struggling with the issues of their children, and for those young ones who struggle because of various issues in their life. I need to do something about it, starting with prayer (and fasting). So help me God; Amen
When we are willing to do our part, God will do His; start prayer today; ask the Lord to help you fast & pray!
