The end?

Welcome!

Passage:   Matthew 24 (NIV 84)

Today: The end?

36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. (Mat 24, NIV 84)-emphasis added

Each day is a turning point for the world; it is turning in the direction that leads to the end of all things. But that day and date of things is upto God

No one will be told or revealed the day of the coming of Jesus; but it will happen!

One of the signs of his coming, as we see in Matthew 24, is increased persecution of people committed to Christ. Persecution of Christians is on the rise worldwide and Christ is not going to wait too long, I believe

On the other hand, in places were there is not much persecution, church is “sold out” to commercialism, apostacy, etc. People play (church) politics with no fear!

There are many things that the spiritual fathers and grand fathers left, for the sake of their faith in Christ; they left many of the un-biblical practices of their former life and paid a great price. Today, their children and grand children and embracing the very things they considered like vomit; the next generation and their leaders are embracing the “spirit of Babylon” under the guise of  inter-faith and what not…!?

Faith in Christ is not a noun; it is a verb. It is living and active; it is directional!

Those who have put their absolute faith in Christ know where they are going

Many cannot celebrate christmas without the thing from the “spirit shop”!

As we “happily” lock Christ down in the “other room” and celebrate His coming into the world, the words of Christ are being proved true

38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man (Mat 24, NIV 84)

This Christmas, it will be a good thing if you will remember Christians being persecuted all over the world for the sake of Christ; pray for states of Gujarat, Karnataka etc., in India, as you pray for countries like Syria, Nigeria and many others, where Christians are being persecuted because of their faith

For those who are suffering for Christ, there is hope; only one hope; “Christ”!

May the hope of Christ fill our heart for real; for nothing else is worth hoping in, like Christ; that is going to be true for many of us!

Have a blessed day. Celebrate Christ, in a way that He will be pleased with!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your sacricial coming into this world; It is sadly true that there is so much of the “world” and the “spirit” in Christmas celebrations, instead of your word and your spirit. Help me not to grieve you with my celebration of you; Amen

True Christmas is when you celebrate Christ as He would like you to!
