Separated from the life of God?

Welcome!

Passage:  Ephesians 4

Today: Separated from the life of God?

16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. 17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. (Eph 4, NIV 84)  emphasis added

Christ is (to be) the head of the church; anything we do in church must basically be from Christ and according to His will; otherwise, it is a recipe for failure!

From the “head”, the whole body is held together by every supporting ligament!

Paul is talking anatomy and physiology here!

As things are done according to God’s word and as per guidance of the Holy Spirit, there is no reason for failure. When the connection is proper, life flows from the head to the body; there is no room for the devil to take victory!

Church must be committed to “the head”, which is Christ, 100%

There is no success without commitment and sacrifice!

Church is to be involved in the act of rescuing sinners from the hand of satan.

Unfortunately, that is rarely happening! On the other hand, many are being “lost” to various kinds of “lust”, as we read in Eph 4; “Lust” of possessions, position, pride, status etc. “Victory over the devil” is impossible with all those “gears” (extra fittings) on us. David could not go against Goliath, with Saul’s outfit! (Today’s many “Davids” would rather wear it and walk a 100 feet at least, and get a few photos, even if they fail to defeat the giant!)

If the church was properly connected to the “head”, we would not run after silly things or politics! If we are, that is clear proof we are not connected!

We cannot be “fatherless” or orphans, having such a loving father in heaven!

Jesus is the reason for the Church. Yet he was not physically here on the day of Pentecost. Jesus should have been the chief guest on that day 3000 people were baptized after Pentecost; but our “head” is different! Be proud of Jesus!

Truly, today’s church is mostly “dead” with a “disconnect” with Christ!

It would be better if we can come back and connect with our savior and Lord!

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Abba Father, thank you for being there 24/7, as our “head”, our provision and protection. Sorry for disrespecting, disregarding and being disconnected from you. Help us re-connect  and stay connected. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Remember: When we can do it all without Christ, He can do it all without us!
