“Who touched me?”

Welcome!

Passage:  Luke 8: 43-48 (NIV 84)

Today: “Who touched me?”

45 Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” 46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”  (Luke 8, NIV 84)-emphasis added

We know the story-story of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years!

Among the many people who were pressing on Jesus, she made a difference

When someone really, intentionally touched Jesus, He knew it

It doesn’t matter how many people are around Him; Jesus is concerned about those who are sincere and committed, not about the leaders and the titles.

Jesus is looking at the heart/intention. No one can “buy” Jesus with anything, like how they do it down here. God is God!

If we have faith and hope in Jesus, that will make a difference for us!

It is better to go to Jesus before things get worse. However, “better be late than never”. We know that Jesus handled a case four days after death, as in the case of Lazarus (John 11)

The power of God can do way more than that. One day, the dead in Christ will rise, regardless of when they died. So, do not loose hope. He can revive those things which are “dead” and “buried” in our life-those which you abandoned!

It is just a matter of our faith and God’s will. If it is good for us, why He won’t?

48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

Jesus gave full credit to her faith, even though it was the power of God that healed her. Her faith opened the faucet/tap of that reservoir of power!

Jesus never lies!

If that woman was not healed by that touch, it would have been terrible; but, with her 100% faith (not 99.99%!), it was “impossible” for God, not to heal her!

When situations don’t look promising, even when the doctor’s report is not favorable, can we still trust God?

May be you applied a job several times and are tired; may be you prayed about your son/daughter/spouse and nothing works! may be it is a situation at work or a financial condition; may be it is a possible job loss ahead

Go to Jesus in prayer before the next attempt; let Him work for you

Peter tried all night and caught nothing. But when he handed the sutuation over to Jesus and obeyed Him, his boat was filled and overflowing with fish!

May God remove that fear and discouragement from you, and replace it with faith and hope!

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for speaking to me. Let me speak faith and your word to my situation, just like how the prophet spoke to those dead bones, as I read in Ezekiel 37. Strengthen me , my faith, hope and love. Thank you; Amen

If we can truly hand it over to God, He can really handle it for us!
