God of rewards!

Welcome!

Passage:  Daniel 12 (NIV 84)

Today: God of rewards!

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise[a] will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.” (Daniel 12, NIV 84)-emphasis added

What kind of a remark/legacy would we leave behind?

Some leave behind bad memories, while some leave good ones. We need to pray for those doing ministry, because that is the best we can do for them. We would be sinning, by not praying for those  who bless us through their ministry!

When God puts a burden in your heart, how do you respond?

I write these devotions in response to a burden God put in my heart. Sometimes, God puts in me a burden to pray, and I pray.

Did you ever neglect a burden God put in you?

That would be dangerous!

In the scripture above from Daniel 12, it is written, “2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”

Let’s take an example of  last Olympics games. People who did well in that, were practicing for years, without making much of a noise. But when the day came, they became known. Their hard work was rewarded.

God calls those who do God’s work as wise people, who will be the stars in His kingdom. They have given light to many!

58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Cor 15, NIV 84)-emphasis added

God is the best rewarder! If you ever helped someone with the love of Christ, your heart will be filled with joy when you see them-more joy than that of teacher who meets a former student, in a good position!

Invest in God’s kingdom; invest in people!

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the privilege of being a child of yours, because you left behind a very good legacy and I can be proud of that. I thank you because you are alive and working for me. I give you all the honor and glory. Amen

Those who work for a name may loose it; those who work for His name will gain it!
