Passage: Gen 7, NIV 84
Today: “Expiry date” stamped on the earth!
13 On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. 14 They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings. 15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in. (Gen 7, NIV 84)-emphasis added
I wonder about this: When Noah preached about the flood, it wouldn’t cost people anything to just get into the ark. If Noah was preaching a lie, they could just come out; but if it was the truth, then they could save themselves!
But you know what happened. Even today, that is what’s happening. Many people know about the truth, but they don’t want to really know the truth or live the truth. Satan is working hard to somehow prevent people from getting a knowledge of the truth and by keeping them “busy”, and by filling them with the knowledge and things of this world
Jesus was not against rich people, but he did say that it will be difficult for many rich people of the world to enter heaven – the reason being that they are more concerned about their riches than God.
That is exactly what happened during the time of Noah. When he preached about the coming judgment, they were buying and selling, eating and drinking
36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. (Mat 24, NIV 84)
The entire Bible should make sense. Just like people tend to become like children when they get old, the world is now becoming like how it was, in the beginning. So, when we read the book of Genesis, we can see many things exactly like how they are today. God wanted Noah and his family to be the best environmentalists/keepers of the animals and birds. Man is “consuming” the earth/environment every day, faster than ever before, and there is not much left! But just like it is always, God has a solution, a “fix” for the mess man has created. God is preparing a new world, a new earth!
The “expiry date” stamped on this earth is fast approaching!
When man outside the church forgets God, God knows their end
But it grieves God much, about what is happening inside our churches-with all the “business” that is going on, like in the Jerusalem temple, during Jesus’ time
It is time to open our eyes and focus on the Lord’s coming

Prayer: Father God, thank you for all that you have done for the mankind, and for protecting and preserving us. We pray for peace. We pray that you will give wisdom to people not to do things that destroy the peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen
