Thank God for uniquely creating me!

Welcome!

Passage:  Gen 1 (NIV 84)

Today: Thank God for uniquely creating me!

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. ” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning —the third day. (Gen 1, NIV 84)-emphasis added

Reading Genesis 1, I just noticed certain things here

God ordered the flora-the plants and trees into existence. God wanted them to bear fruit; not the same kind of fruit, but different kinds of fruits

The mango tree should bear mango fruit and the apple tree should bear apple

Let me say this: God wanted Thomas to be Thomas and Johney to be Johney

He wanted you to be yourself and me to be myself

God likes originals; he did not ask Peter to be Paul or vice-versa!

Jesus treated Peter as he was; Judas as he was!

Jesus did bring transformation in Peter; but He understood the fabric-the uniqueness of each person

Do we ever expect one of our children to be like another, or to be like someone else in school? Do we fail to appreciate the uniqueness of anyone in our family and compare them to someone else and then look down upon them, saying/thinking: “I wish you were like the other person”?

May be we did, in the past; but we might have been doing dangerous comparisons!

We need to accept each person as they are, and appreciate the differences!

God created me/you unique, with unique gifts and talents; if we want to be someone else, God will miss me/you!

If all cats wanted to be dogs, then where are the cats?

If all people in church want to be pastors, that will be a problem

Each is called differently, and should become what God has called them to be

The gifts God has given you, He has given to nobody else. You should have no identity crisis: at work, church, family or anywhere, because you are unique

There is no one who can replace you; may be someone is close!

If you expect a promotion in any area of life, it is good. But as long as you are in that position, try to be the best, in what you are doing!

If we are faithful in the little, He will lift us up, for more

May God help us to bear fruit everywhere; at work, in church, home, and even in the land. Use your gifts/ talents for God’s glory and to bless others

May God help us to be ourselves and bear fruit

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am sorry for always trying to be someone else, and not myself. Please forgive me! I must appreciate all the spiritual, emotional and physical uniqueness you have given me. Help me to be a blessing to many; Amen.

If we don’t appreciate our uniqueness, we will miss a lot of what God has, for us!
