When God is in charge!

Welcome!

Passage: Psalm 46 (NIV & AMP)

When God is in charge!

Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Ps 46, ASV)-emphasis added

When God speaks, we better keep quiet and listen

When God is in action, we need to just relax and allow God to act

When it is our time to speak/act, God will tell us and we have to do it

We can a’ways see people acting ahead of God thinking that God might be too late. So they jump into action.

God can calm the storms in our life/nation. They might be storms of natural calamity/sickness/financial crisis or anything like that. It could be drought and famine. But God is above and beyond all situations and problems

When a seriously ill person is admitted in a hospital, the hospital staff takes charge of that person. Friends and relatives may visit, but they don’t treat the patient

In the same way, psalmist is looking at God and accepting God’s ability to stop wars and/or any act of man. When technology is booming, God is watching.

Every day, we see some proof that God and His word are true

I  remember reading a news about  30 ton dead whale appeared on the shores of Sydney,  Australia

Such a fish can easily carry many “Jonahs” in its belly!

No matter how much technology advances, in the end of life, every person comes to a point where they leave all they earned and go “empty”. “Apple” company could not help its founder, late Mr. Steve Jobs, with all its technology, at that time. Technology does a lot of good things. But when it comes to the end of life, none of man’s skills can help anymore!

That is when most people think seriously about the reality of life and God, and about the helplessness of technology!

People who are truly wise will always keep God in front of them, knowing they need God more than anything else

7 I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. 8 I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. 10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. (Psalm 16, ESV)

When it is time for us to keep quiet and allow God, let us do that

At the same time, when it is time for us to speak up, we must speak up!

Have a wonderful, blessed day!

Prayer:  Father God, thank you for your care and provisions for me. Many a time, I forget how powerful you are when I face some silly issues, and I act ahead of you and mess up! Help me Lord, to always allow you to act. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

When we let God take charge, we can sleep like a baby!
