When the demand far exceeds the supply!

Welcome!

Today: When the demand far exceeds the supply!

Passage: John 6

11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. (John 6, NIV84)-emphasis added

This miracle from Jesus teaches us many things

With a “supply” of just five loaves of bread and two fish, there was a “demand” to feed a multitude of thousands! If someone tries to compare the supply and demand, there was no comparison at all; Nada!

Remember when David was standing in front of the giant Goliath with just five stones in hand? same thing! No comparison between what he had in hand and what he had to conquer. Things of God work that way!

Little is much, when God is in it; much is nothing, when God is not in it!

If you are facing challenges like that where there is a demand far greater than the supply you have in hand, don’t hesitate to start, just because of that

God is the same today, as He always is. Once you are sure it is God’s will, go in the right direction by faith. God will supply

Few years back, when we were thinking of buying a house, we were in a similar situation. But God started opening ways. I was still confused. Jesus Himself once mentioned about taking an estimate, before starting something (Luke 14:28)

But then, one day, on my way to work, I was listening to some preaching: “If God prepared miraculous ways for you and you are doing nothing about it, you are wasting an opportunity….” I think it was Joyce Meyer

That was enough for me to say “yes” and go about it

Many people in ministry can say many stories like that: when the demand was so much and the supply was so little…..God did it

That does not mean we have to foolishly jump after our own “projects” and call it all “by faith”. Unless the Lord is for it and in it, much is nothing!

Jesus chose to just thank and praise for what He had in hand

Many people are not thankful for the job they have, the family and all that God has given them. They choose to complain, than caring for what they have

That stops any further blessing from God

Once we take care of our part, have God take it over. We grow up kids. Do our part. Teach them about the good (God) things, and pray. Let God handle the rest

When God called Moses, He asked, “what do you have in your hand?”

Fr. Berchmans is an anointed minister in India, who ministers through songs

If Fr. Berchmans wanted to sit quiet doing nothing with his talent, thousands would have missed that blessing!

Does that speak something of you?

Make a decision today. May God add His blessings to it!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, you spoke to me one more time and I thank you for the same. In an age of technology like this, there is so much I can do for God and for good, but I am doing only so little. Forgive me. Help me start and continue. Amen

When we ask God for more, He has the right to see what we are doing with that which He has already given us. Don’t He?
