Sowing and reaping!

Welcome!

Today: Sowing and reaping!

Passage: Gen 9

6 “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man. (Gen 9, NIV 84)

God loves us. We were created in His image and likeness

We live in a world where hundreds and thousands have been slaughtered without mercy by individuals and groups. We know how one individual alone has lead the killing of millions of people.

On the other hand, many have been touched by the love of Jesus and have turned from their wicked ways; otherwise some of them would have done such things. If Paul was not converted, he could have killed many. Prayer has power!

Below is a link where you can view some of the incidents where people died in thousands/millions due to various reasons

In the new testament we see that Jesus using the word “murder” in another sense also. Here, we see that when we mistreat a person, it is like murder. We need to look at each individual through God’s viewpoint. We may hide our disrespect and anger towards another person in our heart and behave nicely, but in the end, it is only going to hurt us bad! See the link below:

21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother[b] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,[c]’ is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell. 23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. (Mat 5, NIV 84)

There is a cause and effect for everything we do. Prevention is better than cure. It is better to train ourselves to respect others right in our heart, if we need blessing from God. By harnessing bitterness and jealousy within, we live less!

We reap what we sow. If we treat others nice, we will get the same

Sometimes we follow practices that are followed by others and even argue or make judgments based on that. At the coming of Jesus, we will have to answer based on God’s word, not practices

May God make us a blessing to many!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being personal with me one more time. I need you badly. I have been making judgments on my own, which were wrong. Help me to have the same attitude as you, not just behaving “nice” outside. Amen
