Passage: 1 Thess 4 (NIV)
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18(1 Thess 4, NIV)
The second coming of Jesus Christ has become a rarely spoken subject. That alone is one of the signs of His soon coming
Jesus said that His coming will happen at the most unexpected time, meaning it will happen at a time when people have forgotten about that matter
44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Mat 24, NIV)
During the seventies, while very young, I remember how often people used to mention the second coming and related topics
Even as there are so many disgareements and theories about the second coming, we know for sure, that Jesus will come. These confusions are part of the sign of His coming. So, do not let those arguments take our focus away from His coming
For those whom God loves dearly, God gives chances
When some people who believe in God are about to die, God informs them that their time is up, and they pray sincerely to God. Some see some visions of heaven/hell. Then they make the most sincere confession ever. But not all do that! That will be the most sincere prayer they ever made in life, if they do it
It is God who can certify us for heaven. People on earth can certify and say that “so and so went to heaven”, but only God knows the truth. If we declare someone went to heaven in order to make others happy, we could be lying!
In these last days, there are so many teachings going on. It is our responsibility to stick to the word of God, instead of going after different teachings/teachers
24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Mat 24, NIV)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for talking to me. I would love to know how I ma doing, instaed of living in speculations. Help me to run my race in such a way that I will not miss the destination. I can make it, only with your guidance. Amen
“To qualify for heaven, we have to be certified by God, not by anyone else”
