Welcome!
Today: We need His touch!
Passage: Mark 5
22 Then one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, came there. Seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet 23 and pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so
that she will be healed and live.” 24 So Jesus went with him.
30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” (Mark 5, NIV)-emphasis added
The two incidents above are sandwitched: the incident of Jairus’ daughter and the healing of the woman with the issue of blood
The woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus’ garments and was healed
In both instances, a “touch” is involved; but the touch is only a point of contact. Faith is the major thing
Jairus wanted Jesus for his child. The woman needed for Jesus for herself
We, as well as our children/family need a touch of Jesus
Our children come with us to church and sit for prayer. But we need to make sure, they get a “touch” of Jesus
Amidst all the crowd of the media and friends “pushing” on them, they need to get to Jesus. Remind them about their “faith book” and not just facebook!
If you read first few chapters of Daniel,
you will be amazed to see the faith of those young men who stood for God. They were willing to even loose their lives for God. God came down in their fiery situation
You can’t touch Jesus or Jesus can’t touch you unless you get close to him
If we want to achieve anything in life, get close to that man who achieved the most in 33 + years. His name is Jesus!
King Alexander achieved much in a same period of time. He conquered nations. Will they follow him?
Steve Jobs achieved much with a life. But when we look into the life of people who also invested in God’s kingdom during their life on earth, there is a difference. While we work with our hands and invest in
this world, also make sure we work with our hearts and make some investments up there!
We need to take some “breaks” and take time to get closer to Jesus.
God bless you, as you pursue “a touch” from Jesus

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you. I know that you will always find some time for me, if I have some time for you. Forgive me that I sometimes get too busy to touch you with my prayers. Thanks for being there for me. Amen
“A crowd of people around you can hurt you; a touch of Jesus can heal”
