Welcome!
Today: True love
Passage: Eph 2, Prov 10
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (Eph 2, NIV 84)-
Love” is a word used very much in a wedding ceremony
But love involves forgiveness, longsuffering and humility. Love is costly
Most often, the kind of love we talk about is the one we “return” for something good we see/receive. True love is when we can love those who hurt and ridicule us; when we can love those who are not interested in our well-being!
We do lot of talking than doing; Jesus talked much, but He died for us!
The only reason for our salvation is the grace of God; there is absolutely nothing of ours that can take the credit for our salvation
We are created for good works; we are created to produce the fruits of salvation. Jesus never sat idle. Those who belong to Jesus have no time to be idle either. If we have nothing much to do, it is because we don’t see what is coming. We may be like the disciples who slept in Gethsemane
If we can let our “self” and ego die, we can accomplish much for Christ; if our name and fame is important, we may be putting Christ down!
We see so many people who lost so much, in their race to earn a name(!)
In the end, if we loose ourselves and our family, what is the (net) gain?
God could have done so many things other than focusing on our salvation. But God kept everything else aside and decided to focus on His family. How much is God important/a priority in our lives?
Regardless of what we achieve in any other field, what really counts in the end, will be what we did for God; they have lasting effects-even in eternity
God placed us together with Jesus, in the heavenlies. He does not make us sit on the floor, but on the throne! Is there any higher title we should aim at?
It is good to go up the ladder in our job or in other (good) areas. But we must not neglect going up the ladder in our prayer, devotion and love for God
We must have a desire that our children get to know God, while we buy many things for them-like gadgets, games and stuff like that
Every day should be Lord’s Day for us-not just once a week!
God bless

Prayer: Father God, your love for me is so great; I find no reason for you to love me so much. Help me to share that love – even with those who hate me.
Give me grace to handle all situations and people. Amen
Proverbs-10 (verses from NIV 84)
5 He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
12 Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.
14 Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.
21 The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of judgment.
22 The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
