On the same page with God?

Welcome!

Today: On the same page with God?

Passage: Psalm 121, Prov 8

5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Ps 121, NIV 84)

Psalm 91 is a psalm we cherish so much; it talks about our protection /covering in God; It is only when we really take refuge in God that we are safe

Any other attempts to be smarter than that are only less secure

In the scripture above, psalmist talks about protection by day and by night

Sometimes, we wonder why they use certain signs to denote day and night

When I saw them using a crescent with a star inside it to denote night time (in the phone), I was wondering why

Jesus is the morning star of hope; He is on His way

The word of God is the most updated book ever. You don’t need an update for God’s word, ever. The only problem is our ignorance of the word

God is our guide, our savior, an ever present help in trouble

We live in a world of confusion. People are confused about so many things. Many are also getting cheated, because of false prophets and preachers who offer a “fix” or solution to their problems

The most important thing is our relationship with God and discernment

If we are not on the same page with God, we won’t understand anything He is saying. That is what is happening to many. We have been hearing so many messages all these years, but only little change did it bring to us

The Eunuch in Acts 8 was willing to learn and act; he understood the interpretation of the word from Philip, and immediately obeyed

James, in his epistle encourages us to be doers of the word, that just hearers

We like to hear/receive as much as we can, and respond as less as we can!

Simply reading and forgetting, like we read this message, won’t do any God

We need to respond. Work it out. Try it out

That is when the blessings of psalm 91 and 121 becomes ours

That is when “all things work together for good”

Have a blessed day

Prayer: Response to the message

Proverbs for today: Proverbs 8

10 Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold,
11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

12 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.
13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
