His way, His word!

Welcome!

Today: His way, His word!

 Passage: Psalm 18

30 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
(Psalm 18, NIV 84)-emphasis added

The way of God is perfect

The way of the Lord is perfect-really perfect; you stay in the way of God, you will reach the right place

The way of the Lord is the way of the Holy Spirit

The word of God and the way of God together can keep us in a good spiritual state; the Holy Spirit should illuminate the word of God in us!

There is no imperfection in His word; some people call it “imperfect” because of their own imperfections.

We often hear about “globalization”; but that was all digital/in the media

But today, we see the real, physical globalization happening!

It is not only on the internet and social networking, but even physically, we are not that far; the world has become so small!

19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”[c]

25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. (1 Cor 1:19, 25  NIV 84) – emphasis added

God lets man “build” until a certain height/extent

But God laughs, watching some of man’s foolishness

4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. (Ps 2:4, NIV 84)

God is watching the “Kings” get together and speak against God and “His”!

We are His people-the bride of Jesus-His very own!

The word of God is the light and lamp as we walk in His way (Ps 119:105)

If you hear someone full of Holy Spirit say something that does not agree with the word of God, beware! That is not Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit is God. The word of God guides us like a map, but Holy Spirit gives us fine guidance like a GPS. If you are looking for a place outside the map, Holy Spirit will not guide you; some other spirit will!

But remember, Holy Spirit is way more than giving us guidance; He is God!

21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I have not done evil by turning from my God.
22 All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees. (Ps 18, NIV 84)

Can we say that, together with the psalmist?

God bless you; have a nice day!
