3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. (Eph 5, NIV )
Apostle Paul had the boldness to preach Holiness because he practiced it
What is unique about following Christ is the great responsibility to live the life of Christ. The way of Christ is more than just preaching or praying or doing some rituals.
When we get real close with Jesus, the nature of Jesus becomes our nature
Spending more time with Jesus is the key to a Christ-like life.
King David once fell down from God’s standard while having an evening walk in his palace, when his own people were fighting in the war.
David was in the wrong place at the wrong time
He totally forgot God, while chasing his sinful desire
David was important to God. So God sent a prophet to David
When God’s children sin, God takes it very seriously. It adds much work to God!
God is concerned about those that are not born again, but God’s highest concern is about His own people saying “yes” to sin
When a King/leader of a nation goes wrong, it affects the whole nation
When a father goes wrong, it affects the whole family
When the head of a company goes wrong, it affects the people working there
When a Pastor goes wrong, it affects all the people in the Church
Our righteous living positively influences many, whereas our sinful living negatively affects many!
When we choose sin over holiness, the biggest looser is us, not God!
What we see, hear, read makes the difference in the way we treat sin
Read the word of God to our family and pray together.
Often we are more concerned about others sinning, than ourselves!
The Husband is worried about the wife and vice-versa. Parents are worried about the children. God is concerned about us
First, we take care of ourselves; then others
In the air plane, when they say about “oxygen mask”, they say “you put it first and then, your children”. Otherwise, we may “collapse”
Many are “collapsing”, trying to get others straight…!
We should be more excited about the coming of Christ than sin!
