Today: A time to have Jesus with you!
Scripture Passage: 1 Peter 5 – NIV (NIV)
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5, NIV)-emphasis added
Greetings in the name of Jesus!
Peter mentions “God of grace”, in connection with suffering
Apostle Paul mentions about the God of peace, in Romans 16:20
20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. (Rom 16, NIV)-emphasis added
Is there any name we could give God, from our experience?
In psalms we come across many other titles for God
He is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble
He is our healer, our redeemer, the one who protects us. He is the very reason for our existence and survival
It doesn’t hurt us to give some credit to God, because He deserves it
People who do not give God the praise and worship He deserves, do not know the blessings of doing so.
We are ambassadors of God, in a foreign land. God is watching us 24/7
The world in which we live may not treat us with grace or favor, but God’s grace will cover and protect us. He speaks for us. Even if our sins are big like a mountain, God will forgive us because we belong to Him. The world may do just the opposite.
Christmas is here. Fact is, majority of people who are going to celebrate the birth of Jesus don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus.
It hurts God to see people celebrating Him, while ignoring Him
This Christmas, can Jesus be your chief Guest?
Many have put Jesus away from their hearts and Homes, in “nursing homes”. Christmas is a good time to visit Him and spend some time with Him, than having a big celebration of His birth, without Him
May God rejoice in you, during this season!
