Today: When we sleep hard!
Passage: Eph 4
17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. (Eph 4, NIV)-emphasis added
14For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion? (Esther 4, NIV)-emphasis added
We know the story of Esther. She became the queen very unexpectedly, when queen Vashti was removed because of her disrespect to the King
Many of us today take our position in Christ for granted, and not being thankful enough, to God. God is a merciful God, but He is also a just God.
While Queen Esther, a Jewish girl in exile was the queen, the King put an order to kill all the Jews because of the tactic work of a man named Haman
Living in the Palace, the Queen was hardly aware of this order
Mordecai, who brought Esther up, became so grief-stricken and he puts on sack cloth and runs throughout the place crying and weeping
Queen Esther enquired and Mordecai informed the messenger what happened. The verses above are words of Mordecai to Esther, when she said that she needed the King’s permission to go to him and speak
Mordecai put all the pressure on Esther saying that God brought her to that (unworthy) position for a reason, and she should speak up
Those of us living comfortably in the US/elsewhere should understand that God has put us in a higher position than many others, not to simply enjoy all of these, but for a reason/purpose
The government is coming up with so many laws that hurt the children of God, but we are simply sleeping, not even praying
The next one and the next one will come and we will simply keep quiet (?)
And then, there will be the one that really shocks us, our existence!
At that time, if we ask the Lord “why?”, the Lord may ask us “why you kept silence so far?”
It is time to cry, fast and pray. Satan has put us in a “sleeping” mode and we have become blind and helpless to speak or stand up. It is like putting the frog in some water and slowly increasing the heat. The frog does not understand what is going on, until the water boils and the frog dies!
May God open our eyes! May we come to our senses! It is time to pray hard

Prayer: Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see that which I should see. Help me to fast and pray more than what I used to do, because the enemy is working hard while your children are sleeping hard. Wake us up Oh Lord. Amen
