Welcome!
Today: Being time-wise and opportunity-wise
Passage: Eph 5, NIV
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. (Eph 5, NIV)-emphasis added
I was thinking of a Hurricane & Earthquake: An earthquake that came without any warning and a hurricane that is coming well informed
How do we deal with the coming of Jesus?
Jesus has informed us well in advance. No one can say, “I didn’t know it!”
In the verses above, Apostle Paul states two things that wise people will do:
- They will make the most of every opportunity
- They will understand God’s will (and act accordingly)
Jesus as well as Paul used every opportunity they got, to proclaim the gospel, even when they were under arrest!
Sometimes you get the best opportunity when someone treats you bad.
So thank God even for bad treatments, but use the time wisely
Stephen preached the best message of his life, which is also one of the best messages recorded in the Bible, just before he was martyred!
The best things come out of our life, when we go through the worst
The best songs we sing, the best messages ever preached, the best books written, all came out of people when they were in the worst of situations
I have seen people complaining that they don’t get opportunity on Sunday
But Monday thru Saturday, there are six days of opportunity!
Nobody else gets those opportunities, except that individual. Jesus is concerned about those six days while we worry about Sunday
It is time to be wise, knowing God’s will and making the best use of every opportunity
God bless your day

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I have often been foolish than wise, loosing lot of opportunities and wasting lot of time. Help me to make use of every moment and do your will, without any amendments of mine. Amen
