Today: In a little while…!
Passage: Haggai 2
6 “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty. 8 ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty. 9 ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.” (Haggai 2, NIV 84)-emphasis added
“A little while” for God can mean hundreds or thousands of years
The Apostles expected the return of Jesus in their time; our ancestors expected Jesus in their times. But nothing like what we are seeing these days happened in their times
There will be so many things that look impressive around us these days, and many of us will be tempted to go after that
Satan will tell us: “forget all of that; Jesus will come when He has to. Do what you got to do for yourselves”
We cannot forget everything and just sit there waiting for Jesus, as some people do; we need to be doing what we got to do. But we better make sure we are doing the right thing
God says, He will shake the nations, before the “desired of all nations” comes
And then God says, He will fill His temple with Glory, and that He will grant (true) peace.
The “rapture” of the saints must happen, where they will be caught up to meet with Jesus; then, after a brief period, the Lord Jesus will appear on the earth
When we speak these things to others, they might laugh; but more shocking is the way many of our own respond to this urgent call!
If you first do what you have to do and then go for other things, it makes some sense. But if we are only after the “minor” things forgetting that which is major, then we are heading towards trouble
Many people want to do things inside the four walls of the Church, when millions are seeking Jesus, outside
There has to be a mass harvest, before He comes; He needs lot of workers
Have you started praying yet?
If you never got engaged with God’s stuff, this is the time!
Q:Did you ask God to STOP those harmful radiations from that Japan reactor? If that was somewhere near you, how would you respond?
God bless you
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am sorry for not acting/praying the way I should. So far, I spent your time the way I wanted. Now, I turn to you Jesus. Help me to use every moment of my time as you would want me to. Amen
