Faith and justice

Welcome!

Passage:  1 Peter 4 (NIV 84)

Today: Faith and justice

6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18, NIV 84)-emphasis added

A cry for justice;  that is the need of the hour!

As the system becomes corrupted, you can’t expect true justice even from the very people who are supposed to be “keepers of justice”. But when the children of God cry out to God, He will bring justice

The reason why we don’t see justice in many places is because we don’t cry out to God. God will not by-pass our cry for something He appreciates

The other factor mentioned in the scripture above is faith; faith and prayer in the believer will bring out justice, even from an unjust government/system

When the church keeps its biblical stand, God will work for and through the church; when the church compromise on the truth of God’s word, God abandons the church, while it may gain the praise of people and the system

Faith, as the Bible describes it, is something that will cost the individual/church something. The men/women of God as well as churches that stood strong for faith paid a great price, many even with their lives.

The kind of “easy-chair faith” propagated by many preachers today, has nothing to do with the biblical, true faith. It is just like they say “love”, for lust!

Anything biblical, Godly, talks about sacrifice; biblical love, life, faith, justice are all costly; they don’t just come like that.

That is what we see in Abraham, Joseph, Daniel and the like; there will not be that many people appreciating the true faith, while there will be multitudes appreciating the modern version of faith as taught by many modern preachers. the reason for this “compromise faith” is nothing but the fear of the world!

True faith in God makes you “separate” or stand out from the rest; the “popular” faith on the other hand, calls for a compromise lifestyle, “where God just forgives whatever you do, so live the way you want and just believe”!

7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4, NIV 84)-emphasis added

God is looking for man and women of God who will live the kind of life He expects, and will qualify for His kingdom

It is about Love, truth, justice and faith

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Father God, I understand the need and importance of prayer, more than ever. We need justice and truth, love, faith and hope, like never before. Do not let this land shake-off its good morals, truth and justice. In Jesus’ name, Amen

When fear of God leaves us, fear of the world creeps in!
