Welcome!
Passage: 1 Samuel 1
Today: God needs “Samuel”s!
27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. 28 So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there. (1 Sam 1, NIV 84)
The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions. (1 Samuel 3: 1, NIV 84)-emphasis added
Living at a time when the state and the church are deserting God and His principles, there is a big need/demand for individuals who will stick to God and His word. The word of God never changes, as people change
When churches and leaders “bend” in the direction of the world, it will “break” its very structure, and will collapse. Grace of God does not compromise the truth of God; instead, God’s grace highlights/underscores His truth!
One does not need to sin, to have compassion on a sinner; Jesus proved it
He lived sinless, yet loved the sinner; He ate with sinners, and was criticized for the same! yet He never diluted sin to a lesser degree “something”
Eli was a priest who became “too good” that he just closed his eyes when people sinned; but that did not make him any less guilty; that was just like the cat that closes its eyes and drinks milk, thinking no one is seeing it!
God waited for a Samuel to come up; when Hannah prayed for a child, it accomplished atleast two things; her prayer gave her a son and a prophet, who would speak the truth with grace. It is difficult to imagine what it would have been, without a Samuel in the land those days!
Samuel automatically became the enemy of the friends of Eli; people would look at him as if he just ran out of the zoo! This happens even today!
There is a growing number of people and leaders who lead the church to conform to the pattern of this world, while on the other side, they preach “holiness” as a style; they will even criticize others for going away from God
God has called the church to be the light and the lamp in a dark world; if darkness conquers the light, it can’t shed any more light!
Salt without saltiness is just a white powder; that is what we have become!
We see an increasing number of “Eli”s and decreasing number of “Samuel”s!
The solution to the problem is not blaming darkness, but being the light out there!
I see many in the church spending a lot of time blaming somebody else; at the same time, youth and the adults in these churches are equally getting tired of “church”, even with the latest styles and technology in place. It is about time to put the word of God and the Spirit of God first, ahead of anything else!
God needs “Samuel”s; can you be one?
Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, it looks like it is time for you to come and take the saints away from this sinful world; it is important that your word and Spirit do their work through people like me. I surrender and submit myself for that. Amen!
We need more tears than fears, more action than anger and more passion than pain!
