Passage: Gen 6, NIV 84
Today: Sons of God vs.daughters of men
6 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] man forever, for he is mortal[b]; his days will be a hundred and twenty years.” (Gen 6, NIV 84)-emphasis added
When we forget the God of blessing and make our “blessings” our God, God comes into our life in a different way!
God will act by His rule only-whether it is an individual/family/church or a nation
God blessed the generations of the people who followed God. But as blessings increased, prayers, praises and everything went down. In our generation, they replaced by TV, Internet and so on.
During the time of Noah, they should have had their places of worship and priests. But when God spoke through Noah, no one would listen. The priests as well as the people rejected the message spoken through Noah
When those in spiritual leadership take a certain stand, the “sheep” follow that. There is danger in blindly following leadership, without checking the word of God
These are the days like that of Noah
Satan has put lies and the wrong message in the mouths of so many leaders. Many preach what people cherish, which finally causes them to perish!
Only a few are out there truly preaching the word
Many ministers today keep quiet on the sinful practices of people and even support them. Blind leaders lead blind people to….!
If you listen to preachers on TV, many are about money; you can see how some of them use tricks to get money from people in exchange for some “blessings”
I am not talking about asking people to contribute for their needs
During the time of Noah, the “children of God” married the “daughters of men”; today, the church has married the world and having a “nice time”, because it can have both “the world” and God at the same time, though God is on the side!
It is at a time like this that Jesus shows up-to save those who belong to Him and to judge the rest. Only few are there to really sense that!
Noah and his family were just eight people, in all the world, who were saved
When Jesus comes, it will only be a remnant that get to go with Him
Only a remnant from the land, from the visible church
Stand for God and His word, not for what somebody out there preaches

Prayer: Lord Jesus, your coming is near! I don’t see much preaching about sin and judgment, but only about material blessings, as opposed to the spiritual. Help me to discern between that which is your voice and that which is not. Amen
When God’s coming is near, you will hear every other voice louder; beware!
