A good God or a “moody” man?

Welcome!

Today: A good God or a “moody” man?

Passage: Psalm 62

7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[a]; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. (Psalm 62, NIV) –emphasis added

I was thinking the other day: “If Jesus raised dead people, and He himself was raised up from among the dead, is anything less than death a problem for Him?”

I mean, any sickness or other issues in our life a problem for Jesus?

It is not! Yet we don’t completely trust Jesus for everything. It is only when every other door is closed on us that we put our trust in Him

Many of us owe God big time because He has done such big miracles in our life. God saved our lives from death and destruction. We don’t need to look at another person and see what they are doing for God. We only need to see what God has done for us and what we have done/are doing for God

May be we are doing certain things for God, but is that it? Can’t we do better?

A child may say, “I am doing my best”. But the grades of that child may show that he/she is not doing the best. Parents know that child can do better

So they say, “you can do much better than this”

May be God is telling the same on us, when we think we are doing “big” for God

David was a man with so many strengths and skills. he could have easily felt that he don’t need to trust God much, like many around us. But he chose to trust God

As each day passes, one thing is on the rise: uncertainty!

Uncertainty about health, job, family, finance, church and so on

We can see more and more people getting stressed out and families braking…

The main reason for many such things is lack of trust in God

Trust in God comes out of at least three things together: the faith and hope that God is able to do it, and our intimacy (love) with God

David not only trusted in God so much, but he also poured out his heart to God.

Man is good only when the mood is good; God is good at all times.

We need confidence in ourselves, but not without God

God is confident of Himself; but there is a trinity that works together

There is strength in togetherness

There is no limit to what God can do for us. We don’t have to wait till last minute. Bring it to God in the beginning itself, so that God gets some time to work on it

Have a great day. Increase trust in God. “Save” in Him for big returns

Prayer: Father God, thank you for being a rock, refuge and rest for me all the time. You never deserted me and you will not, except that I moved away from you sometimes. Thank you for being my good father. In Jesus’ name. Amen
