My rest, refuge and rock-the risen savior!

Welcome!

Today: My rest, refuge and rock-the risen savior!

Passage: Psalm 62

 1 My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62, NIV)

This is a psalm of David. David does not find anyone better than God, to find rest, refuge or to rely on

When a believer does not feel good, he/she may call the Pastor or somebody like that. But if the Pastor himself is in need, whom shall he call?

Similar things can happen at work or with various other situations. You may not find anyone else but God to call upon

It is good to keep good personal relationships. But you cannot trust in them too much. People change in a moment or overnight…!

In God, our soul finds real rest. I have heard this famous words: “our souls are restless until they find rest in God”

That is true. Our (young) people are restless and they are tempted to try almost everything out there. They need help and we can show them the right place

Jesus met this woman (John 4). She was never satisfied in her life. Her heart was thirsting for something and she had five husbands, one after another and was living with the 6th man. Finally, Jesus met her. She understood that any number of men were not going to quench her thirst. She found rest in Christ. She stopped her old lifestyle and became a firm believer in Christ.

Christ did not feel ashamed that she was going to tell people about Christ!

David goes on to say that his refuge, his rock is God

Jesus conquered death. Who else qualifies to be our refuge? There is only one!

If there is one place that is always open, that is the presence of God

That door never closes. Trusting in any man can prove false

However big the problem is, our God is bigger than it. He knows what you are going through. He has handled such issues before. He is able to help and will help

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being my rest and refuge. Thank you because you are always there for me. Let me put my trust always in you and you alone. Amen

“I can rely, rest and take refuge in Christ because He even conquered death”!”
