Today: Saved? Stay saved and successful!
Passage: Rom 12
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Rom 12, NKJV 84) –emphasis added
Throughout the Bible, we see people struggling with God’s will
God often had encounters to get people submit to His will
Adam went out of God’s will. Abraham was asked to leave his kith and kin, and start a journey of faith, to be in His will. Later, Abraham was asked to get his son Ismael out, and was tested to offer Isaac as a sacrifice.
Isaac dug so many wells which the philistines covered. Jacob had to run away from his house at the most unexpected moment and wander like a stranger
Can you relate to something like that? Are you worried about the various situations you had to go through in life?
David’s life was no different either. It was mostly troublesome. He always had one problem or another. Was David in God’s will all that time?
While we try to live a life pleasing to God, the enemy gets mad at us. He will do everything possible, to attack us- scheduled and unscheduled attacks
When the enemy plans to attack a child of God, he plans it-schedules it
When we pray to God, God will reveal them to us and we can pray and overcome it much stronger and successful, than otherwise
Then there are the sudden attacks of the enemy, which also can be better handled by a person of constant communication with the Lord
God warns us about both of them – the schemes of the devil and the sudden attacks, which he releases whenever he gets a chance
10 If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. (1 Cor 2, NIV 84)-emphasis added
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. (1 Peter 5, NIV 84)-emphasis added
Devil plans/schemes attacks. He also prowls around so that he may get any!
If we are not in God’s covering, we can easily become prey to the devil
May god help us to stay out of trouble!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your promise and help. You are always there for me, whenever I need help; but I am not always there when you look for me. Help me to stay closer to you so that I can be farther from the devil. Amen
The key to “not perish” is to stick to God and stay away from satan
