He knows you more than you know!

Welcome!

Today: He knows you more than you know!

Passage: 2 Tim 4

6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. (2 Tim 4, NIV 84) –emphasis added

Athletes do not get involved in wars; nor do soldiers come into the track

They focus on two different areas, even though a soldier may do some athletics

The life of a committed christian is a race and a fight at the same time

In a way, we are building and fighting. In the book of Nehemiah, we see that. They were building the broken walls of Jerusalem, and the enemy didn’t like it. While they were building the walls, they were also carrying their weapons with them. They focussed on their job regardless of what the enemy was doing, and finished it. They had a goal and they knew the enemy’s goals/tactics.

Jesus knew what He was doing while on earth. That is why He said this:

18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (Mat 16, NIV 84)-emphasis added

Jesus affirmatively said that He was going to build His church, no matter what!

(The church belongs to Jesus and He himself will build it. That is another message)

On the cross, Jesus said “it is finished”. He accomplished his task!

Those who do God’s work on earth face this fight

Sometime back, I read the story of a Christian minister who was tired of his work. This happened some twenty or so years back. He also had a television ministry.

He was once travelling with his family and some others on a vacation trip, and at that point, he was seriously thinking of quitting the ministy, unless God showed him a clear sign to continue. When they stopped for some food, he remained in his van

After a brief moment,  he slowly got out of his van  and went to a store to have some cold drink. He saw the phone in that shop ringing continuously and nobody was answering. He felt so upset that he finally picked up the phone himself!

To his amazement, the lady was asking for him. It was a long-distance call

He was like “How can somebody know I am here at this moment?”

The lady said that she was seriously thinking of ending her life up, but then this

T V preacher came to her mind. She didn’t know his phone number but something in her mind said to write this number. She didn’t even know what area code was that!

That was more than enough for him. He prayed for her and counselled her

God knows you! He knows where you are right now and what you are going through. He also know where you will be ten years from now!

The devil will fight, only to loose. Jesus already got the victory for us

Run the race and fight the fight while keeping the faith!

Have a very blessed day!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for ministering to me. There are times when I thought you don’t care; times I thought I am all alone. But I know I was wrong and that you were watching me and protecting me. Thank you and sorry. Love you! Amen

“When we ask God “where are you?”, God is like “where are you?”
