Today: God is more than any creation
Passage: Colossians 1
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Col 1, NIV)
We live in a very pluralistic world, where even many Church leaders have started compromising on the gospel of Christ We should not disrespect any faith or religion. But there is no need to discredit Jesus, to please someone. In fact many non-Christians have a better understanding of Jesus than some Christian denomination leaders
The uniqueness of Christ, that He is God and Lord, cannot be compromised
Jesus was not created. He is the creator. What happened 2000 years ago was the incarnation, where God took the form of a man, in Jesus
When Christmas approaches, we will see the name of Christ/ Jesus everywhere
But Christ is not just for Christmas. It is Christmas and Thanksgiving every day, for a true Christian
The biggest problem with the Church today, is the lack of proper understanding of who Christ is. Right from the leadership of many Christian denominations, there has to be a sincere prayer “to open our eyes”, to see God as He is
18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. (Col 1, NIV)-emphasis added
If Christ is the head of the Church, everything in the Church must come from Him and in accordance/confirmity with His will, not ours When we understand God properly, we will understand God’s will and purpose for us individually, as a family and collectively as a church
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, (Col 1, NIV)-emphasis added
All authority and power in the world is under God, even though they don’t accept or acknowledge it. This understanding helps us, in our everyday life
The youner and the older generation, as well as leaders need a better, clearer understanding of the “head of the house”, which is Jesus

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your incarnation, coming into the world and living among us, for us and dying for us. Help us to understand you properly and to live a life that makes sense to you, and be the light and salt here. Amen
