Ready for the battle?

Today: Ready for the battle?

Passage: Eph 6

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (Eph 6, NIV)-emphasis added

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. (Mat 7, NIV) -emphasis added

How strong is our inner man?

The other day, we were looking into “spiritual bleeding/draining”. Unless we build our spiritual lives on a firm foundation, we cannot stand

When we try to put on our emotional “make up” and try to bring out a smile, it can’t last long.  But if we can find a reason to rejoice in the Lord even as we go through difficult and “unknown” times, we can stand!

We need to stand the test. We need to stand even after that

The house on the rock stood the test. It was there even after the test

We may have seen many who “resigned” from their spiritual walk with God, after they went through a test or a difficult situation in life

Many spiritual people/leaders are failing only because of double stand!

A soldier need to be fully equipped, keep communicating with the commander and be positioned at the right place. If we are in the wrong place, we will waste a lot of our energy. Know wht you are called for and do it

We need to be equipped with the word, prayer, praise, truth, righteousness and the gospel. We need to get rid of all falsehood and the masks we put on. Then we will advance, pulling down the enemy’s strongholds!

When we talk about the gospel, many retreat. There are different ways of Evangelism. “Lifestyle Evangelism” is one. You may not be going out in the streets and preach, but you very life attracts others to Jesus. Some do it by acts of service and compassion. Follow the passion God has put in you heart. Some, like the Samaritan woman, will just call the people to the Church. The Pastor takes care of the rest!

God bless you, your spiritual battle, your life and ministry!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to be properly equipped for the spiritual battle in my life, so that I can stand, and can advance pulling down the enemy’s strongholds, instaed of just defending. Thank you for your help.
