Rooted, and bearing much fruit!

Welcome!

Today: Rooted, and bearing much fruit!

Passage: Ps 1, John 15 NIV

3He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. (Ps 1, NIV)-emphasis added

Blessed is the man who has nothing to do with sin, but has everything to do with God and His word

A tree is a blessing. It produces oxygen, and is good for us. It gives good shade. If it also produces fruits, it is even better

You may observe that big  trees fall down in small storms

Those trees look quite strong and green, until they fell.

When they fell down, we  can notice that they are not having strong, deep roots! Even if roots are not deep, you can have thick, green leaves!

Sadly, many Christians are like that.

A tree does not eat any of its fruits by itself. The fruit is for others

God expects us to become  a blessing for others. He planted us. He is the sun of righteousness from whom we can get all the energy we need to grow

There is nothing like a tree, except a tree. Man can never make anything comparable to it. In the book of revelation we read about a tree(s)

1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations (Rev 22, NIV)

The leaves of the tree bring healing. The fruit is different each month!

If we can come up with something new weekly, monthly or even daily, it is good

You can write a good message or do something that build/encourage others

There are many bad trees out there. Many people eat the fruits of those trees (by reading bad books or bad internet sites) and suffer!

When you feed on bad stuff, what comes out of you will be bad. But, as you feed on God’s stuff/word, you bring out the best!

And as you allow God’s word to purge/prune you, you will even grow more fruit

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Ps 1, emphasis added)

When we “park” too much in certain websites and all, we gather too much dirt!

Blood of Jesus and the word of God can wash it all!

Stay blessed

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for all your blessings. Help me top bear fruit, instaed of asking you for more and more. Let me become a blessing to others, just as you were. Let my delight be in you and the word. Amen

“A tree may be seen by its leaves, but is known by its fruit”
