Passage: Haggai 2
6 “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty. (Haggai 2, NIV)-emphasis added
Few years back, people in North-East US felt the “shake”.
I witnessed some wall shaking, and later only knew it was part of an earth quake
People were already dealing with the shake-up in the financial market, when this one happened. There are things man could control; but there are also those which no man can control
These are just wake-up calls. People have created their own “walls” on their own foundations. If you want to build something strong, build it upon God’s foundation; it can withstand any shake!
When Elijah was on mount Horeb, God appeared to him. But before that, there were certain other things that happened, as a fore-runner of God’s appearance
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. (1 Kings 19, NIV)-emphasis added
Powerful wind, earthquake, fire,….we had all of that. Millions of acres of forest had been burnt.
It is time for the gentle whisper…the trumpet of the Lord shall sound anytime
Not all will hear it; only those who are prepared will hear it
Such things don’t make sense to the common man, but it will happen
Many people ignore warnings, going on as usual. It is time for change-in the spiritual, financial and all realms. Our perspectives better change and focus along God’s
In the storms and quakes of your life, you probably didn’t see God, but He was right there. When He came with the gentle whisper, you had gone….!
Stay right there-where you had the storms, the quake and the fire. You will see God – His hand. He will speak to you in a gentle voice
