Every mountain covered!

Welcome!

Passage: Gen 7, NIV 84

Today: Every mountain covered!

17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. 18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. 19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. (Gen 7, NIV 84)-emphasis added

When the water came down, they rose above the mountains; until that time, these mountains had their head lifted up.

And then, there could have been some real smart people who had built some shelters on top of these mountains, “in case” a flood  comes, as Noah said

May be some people managed to run to the top of the mountains as well

But none of them escaped. They all had the chance to enter the ark before!

Man may create so many different ways for salvation, but God has made one

Just like how these mountains went under water,  God brings down people who are up there, and He brings up people who are down

God lifted Joseph from prison to the palace, but brought king Nebuchadnezzar down from the palace, to eat grass like cattle!

Immediately what had been said about was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. (Daniel 4:33, NIV 84)

Whether it be an individual/family/nation, God brings down that which is up, and He brings up that which is down!

Solomon was another example. He was so dear to God; but when pride came in, he started going the opposite way. He had a humble beginning,  but a horrible end!

David repented of his sins and God lifted him up; Solomon didn’t!

Several years back, I was attending a church service , at  one of the leading churches in India. It was their third service or so, on that Sunday.

After the songs, a cake was brought to the front, and the Pastor and wife cut it together; it was their wedding anniversary!

Pastor didn’t preach that day. People had come from afar with children and all.

God is God and worship is worship. After few years, that family parted!

God waits; He may not act immediately, but He will surely act!

God comes with a reward or a rod, depending on how/what we do

All that we have, is God’s gift. The Church is God’s and so are the people

Jesus will come and add His people to Himself!

The real wise people will take cover in Jesus

None of our resources will help; no 401 k, no retirement plan, nothing!

Do it right when the time is right! It will be terrible, to miss Jesus!

Have a blessed day!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for all your work. They are beautiful, and you deserve the glory, honor and praise. Thank you for all the gifts you have given me. Let pride never take me over; humble me O Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray; Amen

We can either cry before Jesus comes, or after; the choice is ours!
