Today: Sing a new song, unto the Lord
Passage: Psalm 40 (NIV), Isaiah 40 (NKJV)
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him. (Ps 40, NIV)
If we wait upon the Lord, He will do many things for us; one of them is that God will put a new song in our mouth
He will fill us with the joy of the Lord, which will take all loneliness away from us
David wrote many psalms, which were the new songs that God put in his mouth
That is why those psalms inspire us. They came from God; they are authentic
Those words have life and spirit in them
When God puts a song/ message in our heart, we better share it with others
On the Island of Patmos, God showed visions to John the apostle and asked him to write them, so that they will become useful to many
In these days of technology, we have many gadgets with us, but I rarely see God’s people using those gadgets for the gospel
When we read the acts of Jesus in the gospels, the acts of the Holy Spirit in the book of acts and the acts of the apostles in the epistles, our faith increases
If those men like Mathew, Mark, Luke and John had decided not to take all the pain of gathering those information and writing those gospels, you and I and millions of others would have missed the greatest blessing in life!
Praise God for making His word available to us. It is the acts of God that we see from Genesis to Revelation. If we are inspired by many secular books written by people, how much more inspiration and life we will get, from God’s word!
When people get tired in/of life, there is nothing like the word of God and prayer that can help them to get new meaning for their life
Psalmist says: “many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him”
What we see around us is that trust in God is replaced by trust in gold and many other things. If we don’t meditate the word daily and pray, we also will slowly loose our trust in God and start putting our trust in people and things; expecting help from anywhere else other than God, can go wrong!
During independence day celebrations, we see lot of fire works all over the country
Those fireworks gives some excitement; but after that, those things are no longer there. Each of them burnt and finished!
But God is not like that. If we get excited by God and His acts, He will still be there for us, and do great things for us. I mean it; I experience it every day

Prayer: Father God, we thank you for the freedom, the life and spirit you have given us. You took lonliness away from us and put a new song in our mouths, which make us happy and blessed. Help me sing for you Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen
If someone asks you, “who is your Lord?”, there is an easy way to find it; it is that person of whom you “sing” the most!
